RIPE LIR
I'm a registered RIPE NCC Local Internet Registry under il.fedorov. In practice this means I can sponsor ASNs, allocate IP space, and help people navigate the wonderful world of RIPE bureaucracy — so they don't have to become an LIR themselves just to announce a /48 from their homelab.
I mostly help individuals, homelabs, research projects, and small networks that need their own Internet number resources. If you're a large enterprise with a procurement department and a compliance team, you probably want a bigger LIR. If you're a person who wants to run BGP from a closet — we'll get along.
I even have a RIPE NCC certificate from their training courses. It looks very official and I'm sure it impresses someone.

Onboarding
If you're new to all this — that's completely fine, everyone starts somewhere. I started by accidentally breaking my own routing table, so the bar is low. I'll walk you through the RIPE database, explain what IRR actually does, help you set up your first peering sessions, and make sure your network doesn't look like it was configured by someone having a bad day.
No question is too basic. Yes, including "what is BGP."
